EVERY LESSON FOLLOWS A PROVEN LEARNING PROCESS. I believe dog training should be clear, confidence-building, and enjoyable for both you and your dog. That's why every private lesson follows the same proven four-step process—helping you understand each skill, practice it with confidence, and succeed long after the lesson ends. 1. LEARN THE "WHY" FIRST Every session begins with a simple explanation of the day's lesson. You'll learn what the skill is, why it matters, and exactly how it helps improve communication with your dog before we begin practicing. 2. WATCH THE SKILL IN ACTION Next, I'll demonstrate the new skill with your dog (with your permission) so you can see the proper timing, technique, and communication firsthand. This hands-on demonstration also gives your dog an early understanding of the behavior, making it easier for both of you to succeed. 3. PRACTICE WITHOUT PRESSURE Before you take the leash, we'll practice the mechanics together without your dog. This allows you to build confidence, improve your timing, and fully understand the exercise before applying it in real training. 4. TRAIN TOGETHER WITH COACHING & FEEDBACK Once you're ready, you'll practice the skill with your dog while I provide real-time coaching, encouragement, and personalized feedback. You'll leave knowing exactly how to continue practicing successfully at home. PLUS: Take the Lesson Home At the end of every session, you'll receive a convenient **5 × 8 step-by-step cue card** reviewing everything you learned that day. It serves as an easy reference so you can practice with confidence between lessons and arrive prepared for the next step in your training journey.
